Airbus subsidiary SIGNALIS use Tekron's NTS100 with their STYRIS® package, used to monitor sea traffic in real time. The package contributes to a safer and more secure maritime environment by collecting, processing, consolidating, enriching and displaying data from sensors like radar, AIS, RDF, cameras, weather stations and sonar.

It’s an understatement to say that something broke in Seattle in February 2017. A major spill hit Seattle’s West Point wastewater facility causing massive damage and danger to human and animal life. Hundreds of millions of gallons of raw sewage were dumped into the Puget Sound over the next three months with the TV news all over it. Network engineers John Geer and Chris Roberts from down the road at Tacoma Wastewater Management watched the disaster unfold, glad it wasn’t them.

Several older Tekron products and product options will no longer be available from either the 31st of August 2017 or March 31st 2018. One option is already out of production. This doesn't affect warranties or support for products already sold.

We’ve talked[sitetree_link,id=182] about how IEEE 1588v2 (Precision Time Protocol or PTP) moves timing onto your Ethernet network and removes the need for dedicated cable runs. It’s super accurate and supports the latest redundant systems, so it seems like the natural choice to time sync new substation builds.  It’s also a great way to step your new installation into the future and ensure that it will keep timing accuracy for the life of the substation.
