Tekron COVID-19 Update

*Update 14 May 2020

From the 14th of May 2020 New Zealand will be shifting to alert level 2. This will allow non-essential businesses to return to their premises and resume operation as long as they can do so safely. This means that on the 18th of May 2020 some of Tekron's staff will be returning to our Wellington office.

*Update 23 Apr 2020

On April 20th, the New Zealand government announced that New Zealand will be shifting from alert level 4 down to alert level 3 as of the April 28th 2020. This allows some non-essential businesses to open up on the condition they adhere to social distancing practices. While Tekron's offices will continue to be closed during level 3 our contract manufactures will commence manufacturing again and subsequently, we will be able to start fulfilling orders on a first come first serve basis.

Please note that during level 3 our manufacturers will still be working at reduced capacity and as such lead times on new orders may vary.

*Update 24 Mar 2020

The New Zealand Government previously announced a four-level COVID-19 alert system. As of midnight, March 25, 2020, the NZ Government have activated level 4 (highest) conditions.

With the change in COVID-19 Virus alert level, New Zealand's non-essential businesses are being forced to shut down any physical operations for at least four weeks. As Tekron and our contract manufacturer are considered non-essential, physical operations of both parties will be suspended for this time.

Unfortunately, while our manufacturer has suspended operations we will be unable to process any new or existing orders until the alert level has been reduced and it is safe for employees to return to work.

-Note: Orders received from now will be placed on a first come first served basis when operations are back up and running.

*Update 23 Mar 2020
New Zealand's government has decided to elevate the level of urgency in regards to COVID-19 and has ordered all non-essential businesses to temporarily suspend operations from 11.59pm 24 March 2020. As such Tekron will be requiring that all employees work from home.

Please note that while staff are working from home there will be no physical presence at our office, as such there may be delays in response times for our sales and support lines, if you need to contact us urgently please email us at either sales@tekron.com or support@tekron.com

*Update 18 Mar 2020
Due to the increasing number of cases of COVID-19 in New Zealand, we would like to formally update any of our worried customers about how we are managing this pandemic.

For now, all supply chain activities from Tekron are operational and orders are going out as normal. Tekron's contract manufacturer has ensured sufficient and adequate inventory of components and all orders will be fulfilled. Both parties are also undertaking regular monitoring of the situation and will update relevant parties as needed.

All staff are presently taking appropriate steps to ensure that the Tekron offices stay safe from infection. Some of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors include No international and/or domestic travel, no visitors accepted into Tekron facilities, no customer visits will be scheduled, extra hand-washing, extra cleaning, staff to work from home where possible and emphasis on greater social distance.
